Apr 18, 2016 Brewery chillers are typically composed of two coils: copper tubing for transferring heat away from the boiled wort, and plastic tubing for carrying cooled liquid back to the chilled water source. Glycol fluid is pumped through both coils in order to exchange heat with its surroundings as it travels back and forth between the two coils.
